Mark Parsons has spent over 30 years working across the Supply Chain with shippers, consultants and logistics service providers, in procurement, sales, operations and customer relationship roles. Most recently, Mark was Chief Customer Officer at DHL Supply Chain UK & Ireland. Previously, he worked for Accenture, Invensys and Electrolux, working in different roles in the UK, across Europe, and based in the US and Australia.
Responsible for the development of strategic customer relationships to drive both commercial growth and business retention, he has led sales, client management and solutions teams of over 100 covering all B2B business sectors and industries. Mark also led DHL’s customer experience, marketing and innovation agendas, and has both a business and personal interest in the development of robotics, AI and the use of “Big Data” to enhance Supply Chain performance.
Throughout his career Mark has not only lead complex €bn customer and supplier engagements, but has also been responsible for implementing a number of strategic business transformations around organisational and cultural change, and especially in B2B commercial transformations in response to digital disruption, driving significant cost-down and value-creation opportunities.
Since leaving DHL, Mark has advised a number of B2B businesses in supply chain and commercial transformations, and in this regard has received certification in the implementation of Blockchain into supply chains.
Mark has held a number of directorships, been a trustee of a charity over the past 10 years, and continues to play an active role in supporting the volunteer sector.
